My Story

Hello! I am a lover of books, the outdoors, and creatures great and small who moved to the Upstate from North Carolina in 2018 with my wonderful husband, Mac. Since then we've had two beautiful children who fill our lives with joy and a healthy amount of crazy. I feel incredibly lucky to work in the business of helping children and families blossom. I'm a fluent speaker of Spanish and enjoy serving our Spanish-speaking community as well. I look forward to meeting you!

Q & A

1. What is your favorite part about your career?

Watching children come to be able to express themselves freely. It is lifechanging, and so rewarding to be a part of it.

2. What motivates you to work hard?

I'm afraid I'm one of those people that can't sleep at night if every "i" isn't dotted and every "t" isn't crossed.

3. What is your biggest complaint about your profession?

Oh, there is red tape in any profession related to the medical or educational fields. I think that's my only complaint. I love this work.

4. Name a 5-year goal (doesn’t have to be work-related)

I would like to learn Russian, now that there is a large local community that speaks this language.

5. List 2 pet peeves.

When you're eating a meal with someone, and they are looking at their phone. When others try to get you to clean up their "mess."

6. What are your hobbies?

I like to read, play the piano, and ride my bike.

7. What Do you collect?

Shot glasses from trips around the world; turtle figurines.

8. What is your favorite Starbucks drink?

Anything that tastes like dessert.

9. What is your favorite dessert?

Cheesecake

10. What is your favorite food?

Probably pizza! But I'm not picky!

11. What is your favorite book and/or movie?

Favorite movie is BBC's Pride and Prejudice, which is very faithful to the book, so perhaps this can be a two-for-one answer.
